Hepatic cysts according to the formation of different reasons, broadly speaking, there are several types: 1, congenital: that is, the most common is hepatic cysts, checkups found that it is congenital intrahepatic bile ducts or vagus bile ducts secretion abnormality, the formation of intrahepatic stagnant small cysts; 2, parasitic infections: such as encapsulated disease, the formation of special types of cysts; 3, traumatic: for example, the formation of hematomas, trauma, after a small localized rupture of the bile ducts to form the accumulation of bile, encapsulated The blood or bile content is absorbed in the later stage, and the formation is mainly water; 4. Inflammatory. So, it has many types of causes, the most common liver cysts are congenital liver cysts, which are congenital developmental abnormalities. There are also special types of hepatic cysts that are not necessarily called hepatic cysts, like intrahepatic malocclusion lesions, which have the morphology of a small hepatic cyst, but it’s a choledochal malformation. There is also a type of choledochal cystadenoma which also forms an encapsulated effusion. Preoperative investigations are done with CT, ultrasound, MRI to determine whether it is a cyst or multiple cysts, and sometimes it is difficult to determine whether it is a choledochal adenoma or a congenital hepatic cyst. These patients can only be clarified as to which type it is after surgery and finally obtaining a pathologic diagnosis.
