Uterine diverticulum is a depressed cavity on the uterine cavity, which can be diagnosed by means of pelvic ultrasound, pelvic magnetic resonance, hysteroscopy and other means in combination with the patient’s clinical manifestations.
Uterine diverticulum can be manifested as one or more depressed spaces on the uterine cavity in pelvic ultrasound, pelvic magnetic resonance, hysteroscopy, etc. It is mostly caused by poorly healed incision after cesarean section, infection, misalignment, bleeding, or the patient’s own keloidal constitution, etc. The patient may present with a persistent postmenstrual period.
Patients may show symptoms such as persistent bleeding after menstruation, dysmenorrhea, lumbago, lower abdominal pain, etc. In severe cases, infertility, anemia, etc. Regular medical checkups are needed after cesarean section to check the wound healing and to prevent the occurrence of uterine diverticulum.
