Classification of raised scars and treatment methods

Raised scars, as the name implies, are scars that are classified according to the appearance of the scar. Generally, raised scars are divided into scars and hyperplastic scars. Today, we will introduce the difference between these two types of scars and the difference in treatment methods. 1. Scars are the product of excessive proliferation of fibrous connective tissue. Scars protrude from the skin surface in a verrucous proliferation with a smooth, red and shiny surface, often with dilated capillaries extending outward. The skin is damaged to the point where the edges protrude outward beyond the original wound. Shape-shifting. A strange itching or tingling burning sensation is felt. Because of the acute pain sensation, it may be due to sensitive nerve endings or the formation of microneuromas, which are painful even when lightly touched by clothing, etc. Scars are found on the chest, shoulders, neck, back and ears. They can occur in both men and women. 2. Proliferative scars. Proliferative scars mostly occur in wounds where the depth of injury is only to the dermis, and they mostly occur after the healing of deep burns. Reticular proliferative scars are also common in the suture around the skin piece after traumatic skin grafting. Most common are incisional scars after suturing of any incision. The proliferative scar appears as a protruding surface with an irregular shape and uneven elevation that does not extend beyond the original wound. It is flushed and congested and is firm and tough. There is burning pain and itching. Hyperplastic scars are generally divided into linear hyperplasia resulting from post-surgical sutures and lamellar scars resulting from burns. The two treatment methods are not exactly the same. Second, the differences in treatment methods 1. Scars are generally not a single treatment option, but a combination of methods according to the specific condition of the patient. Generally speaking, it is divided into the following combinations. (1) Injection therapy? Fractional laser? (2) Surgical excision? Super tension reduction fine suture? Laser combination therapy? Radiation therapy (3) Core excision of scars? Scar skin replantation? Laser combination therapy? Radiation therapy 2. Hyperplastic scars (1) Post-operative scar hyperplasia (linear) A surgical excision + super reduction fine suture + laser combination therapy B injection therapy + fractional laser + photon therapy (2) Burn scar hyperplasia (lamellar) A surgical excision + super reduction fine suture + laser combination therapy B scar core excision + scar skin replantation + laser combination therapy C injection therapy + fractional laser Different kinds of The causes of scars are different, the appearance is different, and the treatment methods are different. First of all, it is necessary to find a professional doctor to diagnose the scar and make a targeted treatment plan in order to prescribe the right medicine and get twice the result with half the effort, i.e. to reduce pain and inhibit recurrence and achieve high satisfaction.
