At present, there is no scientific evidence to prove that cola has a spermicidal effect. Cola is absorbed by the digestive system when it enters the body and does not affect sperm production.
Normally, semen is stored in the seminal vesicles. When cola enters the body, it is gradually absorbed through the body’s digestive system and does not reach the reproductive system. Therefore, cola usually does not affect sperm production and has no spermicidal effect.
However, drinking cola in large quantities over a long period of time may lead to acid erosion on the surface of the teeth, thus causing tooth decay; due to the large amount of carbonic acid in cola, large quantities of drinking will cause osteoporosis; in addition, cola contains a high content of sugar, and overdrinking may lead to obesity, diabetes, and so on.
Therefore, occasional consumption of cola has little effect on health, but long-term consumption of large quantities of cola is detrimental to health and should be consumed in moderation. It is generally believed that cola has no spermicidal effect.
