A thyroid nodule with normal thyroid function is a condition that indicates an occupying lesion within the thyroid parenchyma, but the secretion function of the thyroid gland is normal, so there will be a nodule in the thyroid gland with normal thyroid function. Treatment depends on the size of the thyroid nodule. If the nodule is more than 1 cm in diameter and has a hard texture, unclear border with the surrounding tissues or rich blood flow signal, it is considered to be caused by thyroid cancer, etc. The relevant examination should be improved and timely surgery should be performed to remove the nodule. If the diameter of thyroid nodule is less than 1 cm, and the boundary is clear, soft and the surrounding blood flow signal is not rich, it is considered to be caused by thyroid adenoma or nodular goiter, and regular review can be considered. If there is significant growth of thyroid nodules, promptly have them surgically removed. If there is no significant change, continue observation and treatment. Thyroid nodules are the most common disease in clinical thyroid surgery and can be clarified by performing thyroid ultrasound with fine needle aspiration biopsy.
