Accidental adrenal tumor is an adrenal mass accidentally found due to non-adrenal related disease or imaging examination during health checkup. The wide application of imaging technology has led to the increasing prevalence of accidentally found tumors in the adrenal region, and a mass with a diameter of >10 mm is usually referred to as an accidental adrenal tumor. The prevalence of adrenal incidentalomas ranges from 1% to 8.7%, with an average of 2%, and increases with age, with no gender difference. Adrenal incidentalomas are also increased in people who are obese, diabetic and hypertensive. They are rare in children and adolescents. Patients who find adrenal incidentalomas should go to the hospital and ask their doctor to make a comprehensive judgment and develop an individualized treatment plan.
