Blocked fallopian tubes are one of the common causes of infertility. For women with blocked fallopian tubes who have fertility requirements, combined hysteroscopic surgery with a guidewire can be considered to unblock the tubes. The guidewire is actually a 0.038mm platinum wire inside a catheter, which is thinner than a hair and can be passed through the woman’s vagina to the opening of the uterus. It is then used to unblock the fallopian tubes under the direct view of the hysteroscope and laparoscope and can be injected with anti-adhesion medication to avoid repeated adhesions. Since the operation is performed under the direct view of hysteroscope, it is possible to understand the tubal unblocking situation intuitively and clearly, and the operation time is relatively short and the trauma to the patient is small, which largely reduces the patient’s pain.
