Scars, also known as keloid scars, are a special skin manifestation caused by various traumas, surgeries or burns, and then formed due to the body’s own self-defense mechanism. Once formed, it will not disappear completely to normal skin on its own, but will only gradually become smaller and closer to normal skin. Generally, after the wound heals, the scar appears to proliferate within 1-3 months and gradually worsens, reaching a peak in about six months to a year, and then gradually turns into a mature stage. After half a year or a few years in the mature stage, the color of the scar will gradually become lighter and resemble the surrounding skin, which is basically a normal state for the scar to recover naturally, but it is difficult to disappear completely.
