Are multiple stones in the gallbladder serious?

Multiple gallbladder stones are not necessarily very serious. In other words, there is no obvious correlation between the severity of gallbladder stone disease and the number of gallbladder stones, and the vast majority of gallbladder stones are static stones in clinical practice. Indications for cholecystectomy for gallbladder stones include: first, recurrent acute and chronic cholecystitis that seriously affects work and life. Secondly, the diameter of gallbladder stones is more than 3cm, and thirdly, the duration of gallbladder stones is more than 10 years, which may stimulate the gallbladder to develop cancer. Therefore, there is no obvious correlation between the number of gallbladder stones and the severity of the disease, and multiple gallbladder stones are not necessarily very serious.
