Can the crooked head be completely resolved after strabismus surgery?

Can the head tilt be completely resolved after strabismus surgery? Theoretically, most children with vertical strabismus can be completely resolved after surgery. The prerequisite is that the diagnosis is clear and that the head tilt is caused by the strabismus. However, in some children, because the strabismus has been present for too long, secondary changes in the neck muscles occur, and the strabismus may not be completely resolved after surgery. What should I do if my head is still tilted after strabismus surgery? First of all, we need to determine the reason why the head is still crooked after surgery, whether it is caused by strabismus; in addition, we need to evaluate the degree of crookedness, whether it has improved compared with the preoperative period, and whether the crookedness is due to secondary changes in the muscles; based on these results, further corrective or therapeutic measures should be formulated.
