The lumbar orthopantomogram mainly checks whether there is osteophytes, septic inflammation, tuberculous lesions, tumors and spinal stenosis in the lumbar spine, while the lateral film mainly checks whether there is lumbar disc herniation and tumors in the lumbar spine. If the spinous process of a vertebra deviates from this line, it indicates a possible pathological change in this vertebra. If the anterior edge of a vertebral body protrudes more than the arc or deviates from the arc backward, it indicates that the vertebral body may have pathological changes.
