What causes feet to get hot at night?

Hot feet at night may be caused by damp-heat in the lower Jiao (dampness and heat invading the intestines, bladder, pubic area, lower limbs, etc.) or kidney yin deficiency.
1. Lower Jiao Damp-Heat: Lower Jiao Damp-Heat is generally associated with external dampness and heat, improper diet, etc. The main symptoms of the disease are short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow color), sticky stools, heavy body fatigue, yellow tongue, some patients also have abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and fever in the feet and other symptoms.
2. Kidney yin deficiency: Kidney yin deficiency is a manifestation of insufficient yin fluid in the kidneys, which can be caused by prolonged illness, excessive sexual intercourse, prolonged staying up late and unhealthy diet.
Kidney yin deficiency manifests itself in soreness and fatigue, dizziness and tinnitus, spermatorrhea and premature ejaculation, dry mouth and sore throat, flushing of the cheekbones (redness of the zygomatic bone area on both sides of the face), five heart heat (heat in the heart of the two hands and two feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest heat) or hot flashes in the afternoon (heat in a burst), a red tongue with little moss or mossless, a pulse of fine number (the pulse becomes narrower and finer and the rate of speeding up), and there will be a phenomenon of fever in the feet.
The patient should consult a doctor and take medication under the doctor’s supervision, rather than taking medication on his own.
