Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Dispersible Tablets is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibitor, belongs to the antidepressant, mainly used for the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, but also as an adjunctive drug for the psychotherapy of bulimia nervosa. The main ingredient of fluoxetine hydrochloride dispersible tablets is fluoxetine hydrochloride, and the antidepressant effect is related to its ability to inhibit the reuptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine by central neurons. Fluoxetine should not be combined with non-selective MAOIs and should be contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of its components.
