1. Formation of nodules: When the body inhales toxic gases, dust, microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, etc. into the lungs to produce a slight inflammation, the body repairs the formation of the scar is small nodules, usually this nodule is a benign nodule.
2. Identification of nodules: Usually, small nodules refer to nodules less than 3 millimeters, most of them are benign, and the rate of malignant changes is less than 1%. The differentiation of benign and malignant nodules depends not only on their size, but also on their morphology and composition, etc. If they are ground-glass nodules, irregular in morphology, with blood vessels inside the nodule, pulling the pleura, etc., we need to be alert to malignancy.
3. Treatment of nodules: Usually, nodules smaller than 8 millimeters require clinical observation and regular review; if inflammation is considered, anti-infective treatment should be followed by review. If the nodule is too large, surgery should be considered.
