What’s wrong with passing a line of stool?

The discharge of a line mainly refers to the thinning of stool, which may be related to intestinal polyps, intestinal tumors, abdominal space-occupying lesions, and need to consult a doctor as early as possible to confirm the diagnosis of the lesion and then treatment.
1. Intestinal polyps: this is a common lesion in the digestive system, due to various reasons, the intestinal wall has a localized elevated lesion, which will lead to narrowing of the intestinal lumen. When the feces cannot pass through smoothly, the feces may become thin and appear as a line. The lesion can be diagnosed through colonoscopy, and can be removed through ligation, electrocoagulation and cauterization.
2. Intestinal tumor lesions: including mesenchymal tumors, cancers and other lesions. Due to the influence of the lesion, the patient may also have the change of narrowing of intestinal lumen, thus the feces becomes thin like a line. After diagnosis of the lesion, early surgery is needed to remove the lesion, and then assisted by radiotherapy and other auxiliary treatment measures to try to stabilize the condition and prolong the patient’s survival time.
3. Abdominal space-occupying lesions: If the patient has teratoma, ovarian cyst, kidney cancer and other space-occupying lesions in the abdominal cavity, they may compress the intestinal tract and lead to thinning of feces. Through abdominal ultrasound, CT, MRI and other examination items, the lesion can be analyzed and diagnosed. Follow-up treatment will be carried out in conjunction with the benign or malignant nature of the lesion.
