Docetaxel Effects and Side Effects

Docetaxel plays an anti-breast, ovarian and lung tumor role by interfering with cell mitosis, with side effects such as myelosuppression, allergic reaction and edema. Action: Docetaxel is a paclitaxel antitumor drug, its pharmacological action can interfere with the microtubule structure necessary for cell function in mitosis and interphase cell division to produce antitumor effects, and it is commonly used in the clinic for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic breast tumors, ovarian cancer or metastatic non-small-cell lung tumors. Side effects: mainly myelosuppression, common neutropenia, thrombocytopenia; some patients may experience severe allergy and sodium and water retention, causing edema, such as pleural effusion, ascites, pericardial effusion. Application of docetaxel is recommended to be used rationally under the guidance of a doctor, do not blindly use the drug to avoid irreversible damage.
