Gastric mucosal atrophy is not cancerous, it is a manifestation of inflammation, especially gastric mucosal atrophic gastritis, mucosal glands will decrease in atrophic gastritis, which is caused by long-term stimulation of inflammation or adverse factors, and is not cancerous. If gastric mucosal atrophy is accompanied by heterogeneous hyperplasia or atypical hyperplasia of mucosal glands, it is easy to develop cancer, especially if gastric mucosal glands are accompanied by severe atypical hyperplasia or heterogeneous hyperplasia, it is easy to develop cancer. Therefore, it is suggested that patients should do gastroscopy regularly and take biopsy of lesions for pathological examination if necessary, so as to clarify the nature of lesions and prevent the delay of condition. When accompanied by atrophy of gastric mucosa, part of the glands show heterogeneous hyperplasia, it is necessary to pay great attention to it and actively carry out treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
