Congenital pancreatic division can be treated surgically. Split pancreas is a congenital malformation, which is a congenital hypoplasia of the pancreas formed when the pancreatic ducts do not fuse during development. Drainage of pancreatic fluid through the relatively thin parapapillary papillae may cause obstruction, resulting in pancreatitis or episodes of pancreatogenic abdominal pain. If there is no obvious symptom, it can be left untreated for the time being. If there is symptom, it can be treated by endoscopic or surgical treatment to enlarge the opening of the parapapapillary nipple in order to ensure sufficient drainage of pancreatic fluid, such as parapapillary nipple sphincter dilation and transduodenal parapapapillary nipple incision and plasty. Daily attention should be paid to a light diet, mainly easy-to-digest food, more fresh fruits and vegetables, and timely consultation when discomfort occurs.
