Circumcision and prepuce are common diseases in pediatric urology. When urinating, urine is blocked through the narrow foreskin opening, making the foreskin cavity vesicular, and the urine in it forms a vortex, which can easily accumulate into foreskin scale, leading to recurrent inflammation of the foreskin penis head, adhesions and upstream urinary tract infections, which can occasionally cause cancer. Therefore, early surgical treatment is advisable for pediatric circumcision or prepuce.
Traditional circumcision can cure the disease, but there may be a variety of complications such as foreskin edema, foreskin adhesion, penile hematoma and infection; and the pain makes the children uncooperative, making it very difficult to remove the stitches; it is not easy to grasp the length of the inner and outer plates of the foreskin, which may cause postoperative foreskin asymmetry. Since 2004, our department has treated nearly 10,000 cases of pediatric prepuce and prepuce with circumcision devices, and has achieved better clinical results. Compared with traditional circumcision, circumcision has the following advantages: ①Simple operation, short operation time, usually about 5 minutes to complete the operation; ②Less bleeding during the operation, no ligature thread in the penile wound; ③Simple postoperative care, you can take a shower and bath the day after the operation; ④Standard and neat excision area, symmetry of the inner plate of the foreskin after the operation, beautiful appearance; ⑤Light edema of the foreskin tie, little psychological and physical trauma to the child. The trauma to the child is small.
