What are the effects of pellitory

Peilan is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, belonging to a kind of dampness-relieving medicine, with the effects of aroma and dampness-relieving, waking up the spleen and opening up the stomach, and relieving heatstroke.
1. Relieving heatstroke and dampness: Peilan is an aromatic herb that can relieve dampness and epidemiology, and is often used in combination with patchouli and mint to treat the symptoms of summer dampness and dampness-warmth (warmth caused by dampness-heat) caused by the first symptoms of coldness (fear of cold) and fever, body drowsiness, headache and brain fog, and tightness in the chest.
2. Wake up the spleen and open up the stomach: Pailan enters the spleen and stomach meridians, with an aromatic odor, resolving dampness and harmonizing the middle (eliminating dampness, harmonizing the spleen and stomach), and is used with Huo Xiang to treat the symptoms of dampness obstructing the middle jiao (dampness obstructing the function of the spleen and stomach), or with Cangzhu, Houpao, and Baigong. It can also be used for damp-heat in the spleen meridian, as seen in sweetness and greasiness in the mouth, profuse drooling, bad breath, and greasy tongue coating.
The adverse effects of Peilan are not clear, and it is contraindicated for those with Yin and Qi deficiency. Patients with discomfort are advised to consult a doctor in time and standardize treatment. Self-medication is not recommended to avoid medication risk.
