If the pain is mild, non-steroidal drugs such as aspirin can be given to treat the pain; if the pain is moderate, drugs such as tramadol and dulcolax should be given for strong analgesia; if the pain is severe, especially if it is accompanied by multiple metastases throughout the body, such as fracture, morphine and fentanyl should be given for strong analgesia. If the pain is severe, especially with multiple metastases throughout the body, such as a fracture, morphine and fentanyl should be given to relieve pain. Morphine can be taken orally or injected subcutaneously, while fentanyl is a dermatological agent, which can control pain for 72 hours with one dermatological application, and its effect is ten times that of morphine. Therefore, it is necessary to actively reduce patients’ pain and improve survival quality in the late stage of lung cancer. According to the nature and degree of patients’ pain, different analgesic drugs should be used respectively to reduce pain, improve survival quality and prolong survival period.
