Characteristics of venous bleeding

Venous bleeding is generally not as heavy as arterial bleeding because of the slow flow rate and low pressure, it usually gushes or oozes out of the veins, so venous bleeding can often be stopped well with acupressure or bandage compression. The color of venous blood is dark red because of its low oxygen content. Sometimes venous bleeding is not easy to cause clinically observable pain because of weak pain sensation such as varicose vein bleeding, some people bleed at night and even bleed a large amount of blood without feeling it, and it is not detected until they go into shock or die, so even though venous bleeding is not as dangerous as arterial bleeding, it should be paid enough attention to it.
