What’s that ringing in your ears from chewing?

Rattling in the ears from chewing may be caused by temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome, cerumen impaction, ear canal foreign body and other diseases.
1. Temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome: the cause of temporomandibular joint disorder syndrome is not yet clear, it may be caused by autoimmune, bad bite, trauma inside and outside the joint, emotional anxiety and other factors. Patients will have joint popping when opening and closing the mouth, which is manifested as a ringing sound in the ears when chewing something.
2. Cerumen impaction: The cause of cerumen impaction is related to excessive cerumen secretion and impaired cerumen discharge. Patients will experience hearing loss, when cerumen contacts the tympanic membrane it will lead to tinnitus, when chewing food, due to the opening of the Eustachian tube, there will be tympanic membrane movement, which will then produce ringing in the ears.
3. Foreign matter in the ear canal: sometimes foreign matter in the ear canal, such as hair and remains of flying insects, is attached to the eardrum, and as chewing causes the eardrum to vibrate, the foreign matter slaps on the surface of the eardrum and causes a banging sound.
There are many reasons for the ringing sound in the ear caused by chewing, patients need to go to the hospital to find out the cause of the disease.
