Contraindications of Ibuprofen in the Elderly

The common formulation of ibuprofen is granules, and no trials have been conducted on the use of the drug in the elderly; contraindications are unclear, but it is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease, severe blood abnormalities, and others.
Ibuprofen granules are used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as arthralgia, headache, toothache, migraine, neuralgia, muscular pain, menstrual cramps, and also for the treatment of fever caused by influenza or common cold.
Contraindications to Ibuprofen Granules are severe liver disease, severe blood abnormalities, severe kidney disease, severe cardiac insufficiency, severe hypertension, peptic ulcer, history of allergy to the ingredients of this product, pregnant and lactating women, patients using zidovudine, patients with aspirin asthma or with a previous history of aspirin asthma.
This product should be used with caution in patients with blood abnormalities or a previous history thereof, patients with liver disease or a previous history thereof, patients with bleeding tendencies, patients with abnormal cardiac function, patients with hypertension, patients with renal disease or a previous history thereof or patients with reduced renal blood flow, patients with bronchial asthma, patients with mixed connective tissue disease, the elderly and children.
