After uterine artery embolization treatment, because the uterus is in a state of ischemia, the patient will feel more painful, the nature of the pain is like the contraction pain of the uterus before delivery, so the patient will feel discomfort, but because the ischemic situation after uterine intervention lasts for a short time, only 2-3 days, when the blood to the uterus is restored, the pain will disappear, therefore, after the intervention we will let the patient stay in the hospital for 3 days, the main thing is to control the patient’s pain. When the pain disappears, the patient can be discharged from the hospital. Since the pain after intervention will affect the patient’s mental state, we will give the patient a continuous analgesic pump treatment before doing the intervention, so that the patient will not feel pain from the operation to 3 days after the intervention (pain time), and finally the analgesic pump will be removed on the fourth day after the intervention, and the patient can be discharged, and the pain will have disappeared by then. Therefore, pain in the lower abdomen can occur after uterine intervention, but in our hospital, we do analgesic pump treatment, so that patients can receive treatment pain-free after the operation, and safely and painlessly go through the operation period and postoperative recovery. At present, we are probably the only hospital in China that does such analgesic pumps!
