What is immunosorbency

Immunosorbency is a therapeutic tool used for immune system diseases. For example, SLE and ANCA-associated microangiitis can produce harmful antibodies in the plasma, which is separated by a plasma splitter and then adsorbed by an immunosorbent column, and then the remaining antibody-free plasma is returned to the patient. During this process, the patient can be supplemented with albumin and plasma substitute to meet the immunosorbent effect. After immunosorption, most of the antibodies in the patient’s body are cleared, and a better therapeutic effect can be obtained with drugs.
