Niclosamide belongs to which class of drugs

Niclosamide is a respiratory stimulant, which mainly excites the central nervous system, improves respiratory sensitivity, accelerates the depth of breathing, and has a slight excitatory effect on the vasomotor center. Niclosamide can be administered intramuscularly or intravenously to save the lives of critically ill patients and patients with superficial respiration and depressed respiratory centers. In addition, Niclosamide can be used in combination with oxygen, hormone application, antibiotics and phlegmolytic drugs, which can be helpful in the critical stage of chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema and respiratory failure.
