Maxillary nodal block anesthesia is to select the vestibular groove of the distal mesiobuccal root of the maxillary second molar as the entry point. The patient needs to take a sitting position with the maxilla at a 45 degree angle to the floor and a semi-open mouth, and the needle is inserted upward, posteriorly and medially, sliding along the curvature of the maxillary nodule, entering about 2 cm, and then injecting 1.5-2 ml of anesthetic after no blood is drawn back, and then withdrawing the needle. The anesthetized area is the ipsilateral maxillary molar, the alveolar bone, and the periodontium and periosteum on the buccal side. The numbing agent usually takes effect in 3-5 minutes.
