Lipoma is a benign lesion, which is a fatty mass formed by abnormal growth of subcutaneous fat and is wrapped by a very thin layer of connective tissue. Smaller lipomas are round or oval in shape and generally do not require treatment and can be followed up regularly. Large lipomas may be lobulated or may form long strips. If they affect the appearance and cause painful internal bleeding, surgery can be considered to remove them under local anesthesia. It may be a soft tissue tumor, the origin of which is not clear, it may be from blood vessels or nerve tissue. Before surgery, CT or CTA examination can be performed to determine the relationship between the tumor and blood vessels. After surgery, if the pathology indicates malignancy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy may be required, and regular review is needed to prevent tumor recurrence.
