Early symptoms of mesenteric embolism

Patients with mesenteric embolism may feel abdominal pain, bloating, nausea and loss of appetite in the early stages. Patients with mesenteric embolism usually suffer from atrial fibrillation, due to which the blood clots in the ventricular wall are dislodged, which along with the blood circulation can block their mesenteric blood vessels, leading to ischemia and even necrosis of part of the intestinal tube, thus manifesting a series of clinical manifestations. In the early stage, because of their gastrointestinal tract, the mesentery is not completely necrotic, but only show some symptoms of ischemia, which can be manifested as digestive dysfunction, such as abdominal pain, abdominal distension, nausea, loss of appetite, etc., and when serious, the patient will have a series of clinical manifestations such as generalized decrease in blood pressure, infectious shock, generalized fever, and so on. Therefore, people with atrial fibrillation and thrombophilia who are at high risk of developing mesenteric embolism should consult a doctor in time when these symptoms occur, so as to improve the examination, detect mesenteric embolism and treat it accordingly.
