Triangular cartilage disc injury of the left wrist

Patient: Description of the condition (onset time, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): Hello doctor! I was shopping with my family at the mall in December last year, and since the mall was hot, I held two down jackets with both hands, causing my left wrist to bend outward in this position for about 20 minutes. Later, I felt a little pain in my left wrist. I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time, but since that day, my left wrist has been hurting. I saw a doctor, who concluded that it was a triangular cartilage disc injury and recommended the application of Botulin ointment. Then I had a half course of ultrasound physiotherapy five times. It was not very painful before the treatment, but after the physiotherapy, it was even more painful than before. Since I am preparing for pregnancy, I am afraid to take any medication or apply creams. In the last few days, the pain has increased and the pain point has shifted. I have uploaded a photo of my hand. The pain point at the beginning is the location circled in red on the photo, which is under the bone protrusion of my left wrist. Now the pain is gone, but it has shifted to the location of the circle, and it hurts when I press on it, and I can’t bend the back of my hand, and I can’t do bracing movements with my left hand, and I can’t lift heavy objects. Currently, I am wearing a wrist brace to keep my hand straight and unbent. I would like to ask what else can be done to make this condition better. Since I am preparing to get pregnant and don’t want to take any medicine, is there any method such as topical medicine that can improve it? Thank you. Hospital: Apply hot physiotherapy to the wrist 2~3 times a day for 20~30 minutes each time; wear wrist brace continuously, but not when you sleep; avoid wrist flexion and holding heavy objects. I wish you a speedy recovery! Patient: Thank you, doctor!
