General precautions after oral tooth extraction

  Due to the need of restoration, the situation of the tooth itself, the residual root, the residual crown or the obstructed and the teeth that cannot be retained for various reasons need to be extracted, and the following points generally need to be noted after tooth extraction: 1. The hemostatic gauze needs to be tightly bitten for 30~40 minutes after tooth extraction, which should not be too long or too short.  2. You cannot brush and rinse your mouth within 24 hours after tooth extraction, and you need to brush your teeth gently even after 24 hours, and not to clean the extraction socket with excessive force.  3. You should eat relatively warm, cool and soft food on the day after tooth extraction, but not too hot and too hard food, so as not to cause bleeding.  4. Pink blood in the saliva within 2~3 days after tooth extraction is also a normal phenomenon and there is no need to be too nervous.  5. After tooth extraction, there will be temporary pain, swelling and other discomforts, which can generally be relieved by themselves, and antibiotics and painkillers can be applied for 2 to 3 days to relieve the symptoms in case of large trauma or infection.  6. Swelling after tooth extraction can be reduced by applying ice compress for 1~2 days, and after 2 days, no more ice compress can be applied, and heat compress can be used instead.  7. If there is severe pain and corrosive odor within 2~3 days after tooth extraction, timely follow-up examination will be conducted to see if dry socket occurs.  8.If there are stitches, the stitches are usually removed in about 7 days of follow-up examination.
