Strabismus can also lead to strabismus

If a child often tilts his or her neck and fails to make good improvements, this should be a high priority. This crooked vision is not necessarily a neck abnormality, but may be caused by strabismus. There is the easiest way to cover up a glance, the neck is not crooked, indicating that the crooked neck is related to the eye! The medical term for a crooked neck caused by strabismus is ophthalmic strabismus. It arises as a compensatory change taken by the patient to maintain a level view of both eyes. Because it is not quite clear that the crooked head and squint is caused by strabismus, some patients suffer unnecessary pain by blindly performing neck surgery. Once a child is found to have crooked head and eyes, he or she should be routinely seen by an ophthalmologist to rule out ocular strabismus.
