If the dry itchy skin occurs on the face, it may be a symptom of seborrheic dermatitis on the face. Topical application of vitamin B6 cream, glycerin or mucopolysaccharides polysulfate cream can relieve the dryness of the stratum corneum, and at the same time can play a certain role in relieving itching. Oral antihistamines are also needed, such as oral levocetirizine hydrochloride or loratadine. If the dry itchy skin is generalized, it may be secondary to skin damage caused by seasonal factors or excessive bathing. Oral antihistamines may be appropriate, as well as topical moisturizing medications, such as vitamin E cream or topical urea cream.
