Wrist fracture cast can be appropriate activities. But note that it is gradual and not excessive. Wrist fracture is clinically known as distal radius fracture, which is categorized into extension type, flexion type, dorsal or metacarpal rim fracture of distal radius and subluxation of wrist joint. Appropriate activities should be carried out during the period of external fixation in plaster, which is conducive to blood circulation and promotes fracture healing. Generally, after reset and fixation, active hand movement training and shoulder suspension position swing training can be carried out. After the swelling is reduced, start to do active movement of shoulder and elbow joints. Note that the extension type fracture can not do wrist extension movement during the casting period, and the flexion type fracture can not do wrist flexion movement. It is recommended to listen to the doctor’s advice to minimize the adverse effects of wrist fracture casting.
