Hepatitis E quantification tests for Hepatitis E RNA and can be used to diagnose Hepatitis E.
Hepatitis E quantification means testing the amount of Hepatitis E RNA in the blood or feces using a method such as a real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR reaction. Hepatitis E virus infection can be diagnosed if HEV (Hepatitis E Virus) RNA is detected positively in the blood or feces.
Usually hepatitis E RNA quantification will be tested together with IgM and IgG of hepatitis E to determine if there is hepatitis E infection. Meanwhile, due to the short time of Hepatitis E RNA in the blood, the operation is relatively complicated, and it is still mostly used in laboratory diagnosis, but less used in clinical routine examination.
It is recommended that patients with suspected hepatitis E should consult the doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for examination, and use interferon, reduced glutathione and other treatments under the guidance of the doctor if necessary.
