What to do if your headache is caused by cervical discomfort

Headaches caused by cervical discomfort can be improved through physical therapy, medication and psychological intervention.
1. Physiotherapy: If the patient has headaches associated with cervical discomfort, it is recommended to stop working, rest as much as possible, not to blow air conditioning in summer, choose suitable neck, shoulder and back stretching exercises, or accept massage and muscle rehabilitation training by a professional doctor to improve cervical spine blood supply and nerve compression, so as to alleviate the symptoms of headaches. Infrared rays or ultrashort wave physiotherapy can also be used.
2. Medication: Oral ibuprofen, aspirin, or injections of muscle relaxants and other painkillers. Nerve blockers can also be injected to relieve headaches.
3. Surgery: For more serious headaches caused by cervical discomfort, if it has affected normal work and life, you can consider cervical spine surgery to solve the cervical spine disease, such as anterior internal fixation surgery and posterior single-open door decompression surgery.
If the headache caused by cervical discomfort cannot be relieved by daily adjustments, it is necessary to consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and give targeted treatment, so as to avoid aggravation of the symptoms affecting the quality of life.
