Purpose: To investigate whether interventional treatment in early hypertensive patients can delay the development of hypertension. To elucidate the significance of interventional treatment in patients with early hypertension. METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed on new patients with grade 1 hypertension from January 2000 to August 2002, and these patients were divided into two groups, one group was treated with early intervention for related risk factors and primary disease, and the other group was untreated by itself, and the development of clinical hypertension prevalence was observed in both groups after 2 years. RESULTS: The prevalence of hypertension was 38.7% in the treated group and 79.49% in the untreated group. The comparison between the two groups was statistically significant P<0.05. CONCLUSION: Early intervention treatment of risk factors and primary disease in patients with first-onset grade 1 hypertension can delay or stop the development of hypertension.
