The vagina and the urethra are not in the same place, the vaginal opening opens on the inside of the labia minora and the urethral opening is above the vaginal opening. The vagina is part of the reproductive system and belongs to the reproductive tract, which is mainly a channel for sexual intercourse, for menstruation and for the delivery of the fetus. The vagina is particularly stretchy and has many folds in its walls in women of childbearing age, so it stretches particularly well so that the baby can be delivered from the vagina. The urethra is relatively thin and is mainly where urine is excreted, so they are two completely different places, one being the reproductive tract and the other being the urinary tract. If there is a vaginitis it may cause a local inflammatory reaction in the urethra, mainly because the female urethra is short and straight, so it is easy to get infected. It is recommended that women should keep their vulva clean in their daily life.
