Therefore, every client who comes to my preconception clinic will have the opportunity to receive a general education and a targeted counseling. When I teach, I often ask people, “How can I strengthen my body?” Interestingly, 99% of my first answers are exercise or sports. However, when the question continues, “Are you currently exercising?” “Is your current choice of exercise reasonable?” “How do you manage the intensity and duration of exercise?” …… often answers me with silence. But if you just carelessly move, it will not achieve the effect, and if you pursue the intensity of exercise and ignore their own ability to withstand, may also cause physical injury. Fortunately, two years ago, through the introduction of friends, I met the sixth generation of “Yang style taijiquan” direct lineage of “Fu Qingquan” master, whose simple and interesting way of teaching, hand-holding position combined with wise theoretical analysis, so that “Kung Fu” in unconsciously on the body. So naturally, it has become a form of exercise that I highly recommend in preconception health clinics. ”Second Heart” Taijiquan Research on the effects of Taijiquan on human health has been done since the 1950s, and many studies have been done to test the benefits to the skeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, endocrine system, nervous system, and immune function. For example, taijiquan is about technique, footwork, eye technique and body technique, among which the body technique is the main one. At the same time, Taijiquan emphasizes “rigidity and flexibility, relaxation and stillness, natural, a movement without movement, the heart to move the gas, gas to move the body, gas to the four tips”, which is conducive to enhancing the elasticity of the blood vessel wall and blood circulation, but also conducive to the exercise of microvascular, promote microcirculation. Therefore, some people also call taijiquan exercise “the second heart”. We all know the term “aerobic exercise” now, in aerobic exercise, the starch in the body reacts with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water, which can promote metabolism, remove waste from the body, improve immunity, improve cardiovascular and central nervous functions. On the contrary, intense exercise, the starchy material in the body is too late to fully oxidize, but in the absence of oxygen, enzymatic generation of lactic acid to provide energy, this anaerobic exercise will cause the accumulation of acid, accelerating the body aging. In fact, most of the current exercise is neither purely aerobic nor purely anaerobic, but a mixture of exercise. After passing the introductory level, Taijiquan will not feel any muscle soreness after a full set of 85 forms, and it is a deep breathing exercise from the beginning to the end, which is a real pure aerobic exercise. Don’t think that Taijiquan is an old man’s or woman’s sport Because Taijiquan seems to be slow and gentle, many people think it is an old man’s or woman’s sport. In fact, taijiquan is characterized by continuous, complex and varied movements, without intense movements, but always without any loss of energy, and is a highly efficient movement. At the same time, the strength of Taijiquan is mainly internal strength, and the intensity of the movement can be mastered by oneself. If the boxing frame is low, the speed is slow, the breathing is deep and long, the intention is concentrated, and the energy used is serious, the movement is large; on the contrary, the movement is small. Even if you are pregnant, you can choose to stretch your muscles and bones and adjust your breath without stressing your lower body. The main reason why I recommend Taijiquan in the pre-pregnancy clinic is to improve heart and lung function, promote metabolism and enhance immunity. Secondly, “the spirit is restrained and the mind is concentrated”, which changes your mind; “to stretch with the curve and to surrender to others”, which improves your social adaptability.
