Pain in the middle of the sternum may be related to the following factors: 1. If there is a history of trauma, consider whether it is due to chest trauma, resulting in a sternal fracture, rib cartilage fracture or soft tissue contusion. There is local pressure pain, and the pain can be aggravated by breathing movement.2. If the patient is young, consider whether it is due to cold or staying up late, which induces costochondritis and leads to local pain sensation in the sternum.3. If the pain in the middle of the sternum is accompanied by chest tightness and palpitation symptoms, consider whether it is due to cardiovascular factors, such as angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, etc. The pain is radioactive and can be accompanied by a sense of near death.4. If accompanied by coughing, coughing and dyspnea symptoms, consider whether it is due to lung infection, pleurisy and chest occupying diseases.5. Very few patients with hematologic disorders and long-term, persistent and severe sternal pain should seek medical consultation at a regular hospital.
