A visual acuity of 4.9 is not necessarily due to myopia.
Normal naked eye vision should be 5.0, and the current visual acuity of 4.9 is slightly lower than normal, but many eye diseases can cause vision loss, so you can’t judge the loss of vision to be due to myopia alone.
Common causes of vision loss include myopia, astigmatism, amblyopia, cataracts, fundopathy and optic neuropathy. Slit lamp microscopy, funduscopy, optometry and other relevant examinations are needed to distinguish which condition is causing the vision loss.
It is recommended that the patient go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital in time, so that the doctor can find out the specific cause of the disease, and then take targeted treatment.
