If stitches are applied to the gums after the tooth is extracted, the stitches can be removed after 7 days. After 7 days, the gum surface will have healed initially and you can basically chew after the stitches are removed. Chewing soft foods is no problem, but for the internal alveolar bone to heal, it takes 3 months to heal completely. During the 3-month period, the gum tissue gradually forms the alveolar bone and the internal structure is rebuilt. The blood clot inside the extraction wound is mechanized and granulation tissue is formed. The granulation tissue is transformed over a period of 2 months to form gum tissue as well as bone tissue. At the end of 3 months, the gingival and bone tissues are completely healed and the reconstruction is completed.
