How to distinguish between benign and malignant lung nodules

To determine the benign or malignant nature of a lung nodule, a pathologic examination can be performed. Since it is usually impossible to differentiate between benign and malignant lung nodules solely by factors such as nodule size and morphology, pathologic biopsy of lung nodules is generally used in clinical practice. For peripheral lung nodules, percutaneous puncture lung biopsy is performed, and for lung nodules close to the hilum, lung biopsy is usually performed by bronchoscopy to determine the benign or malignant nature of lung nodules. Lung nodules are generally related to germs infection, living environment and other factors, generally benign patients have no obvious symptoms, malignant nodules can appear cough, blood in sputum, chest pain and other symptoms. Lung nodule patients should pay attention to regular review, such as lung CT examination, to avoid other complications or aggravation of the condition, discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
