Chest pain on the left and on the right may be caused by pleurisy, neurosis, soft tissue injury of chest wall muscles and so on.
1. Pleurisy: if the patient has pleurisy, when coughing, taking a deep breath, or moving suddenly, the pain in the chest will be on the left side and on the right side, which is often accompanied by chest tightness, dyspnea, fever and other symptoms.
2. Neurosis: mostly due to the patient’s usual stress, or emotional fluctuations, etc., causing autonomic disorders, no organic disease, the patient is conscious of intermittent pain on both sides of the chest, which may be relieved after resting or soothing the mood.
3. Chest wall soft tissue injury: due to heavy physical labor, strenuous exercise or external violence, causing skin and muscle injuries on both sides of the chest, resulting in intermittent pain on both sides of the chest, usually accompanied by local swelling.
