What are the problems caused by calcium deficiency?

Calcium is an important component of the body’s bone tissue and maintains the normal function of many organs in the body. Calcium deficiency may not only affect the normal metabolism of calcium, but also lead to abnormal organ function. Calcium deficiency may lead to the following problems:1. Osteoporosis. Adult patients may suffer from bone pain, decreased height of the trunk, and susceptibility to fracture (i.e. fragility fracture). Children may suffer from stunted growth and skeletal deformities.2. Increased neuromuscular excitability, which may cause muscle spasms, convulsions, convulsions, tracheal spasms, and even epileptic seizures.3. Cardiac arrhythmias, and in severe cases ventricular fibrillation and heart failure.4. Decrease in immune function.
