Extravasation of fluid during the inflammatory period can adversely affect and harm the organism, and the exudation of tissue fluid only occurs when the inflammatory period is more severe. The exudation of tissue fluid may have an irritating effect on the surrounding skin tissues, and may also cause further spread of inflammation.
