Usually, cervical polycysticercosis does not heal on its own and there is no way to eliminate it with medication. If there are no clinical symptoms, no special treatment is needed. Cervical polycysticercosis, or cervical multicysts, is caused by the presence of chronic inflammation in the cervix, which leads to the blockage of the glandular ducts and prevents the fluid from draining, thus forming cysts, which usually worsen after cervical surgery, abortion, or natural childbirth. If the number of cysts is high, forming multiple cervical nanocysts, they are physiological manifestations and cannot heal themselves. These cysts grow slowly and patients often have no clinical manifestations, and only greenish-white vesicles are found in the cervical area during physical examination. If cervical multifocal cysts are accompanied by increased vaginal discharge and lumbosacral pain, timely consultation with gynecology is needed to exclude the possibility of malignant transformation and physical therapy or surgery can be performed if necessary.
