Partial visualization of the fallopian tubes This is the reporting term used in the results of a tubal imaging test to indicate that the fallopian tubes are only partially patent, rather than being patent throughout. Tubal imaging involves injecting a contrast medium into the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes through a catheter, then taking X-ray pictures and determining whether the tubes are open and the extent of blockage based on how the contrast medium appears in the pelvis and fallopian tubes. Partial visualization of the fallopian tube indicates that the portion of the tube being visualized is patent. The fallopian tubes are morphologically divided into the mesosalpinx, the isthmus, the jugular and the umbilical end. When only part of the tube is visualized, it is more likely that the middle and distal ends of the tube are blocked. Women with partially visualized fallopian tubes should go to the gynecology department of the hospital in time, and according to the degree and location of tubal blockage, treatment should be carried out under the guidance of the doctor, so as to avoid affecting normal fertility.
