How to treat stones in the neck of the gallbladder

Surgery is preferred for patients with stones in the neck of the gallbladder. Gallbladder stones are cholesterol stones, or a mixture of cholesterol-based stones and melanin stones. As gallbladder neck stones may block the neck of the gallbladder, thus causing biliary obstruction and secondary cause of septic infection of the gallbladder, surgical treatment is preferred, such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy and open cholecystectomy. Patients should have regular meals on a daily basis after surgery, avoid overeating, exercise appropriately, and keep their weight within a healthy range. Once diagnosed with gallbladder neck stones, patients should actively cooperate with doctors to take relevant treatment measures. During the treatment period, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions to have regular checkups in order to understand the recovery of the disease.
